Description / Notes:

All riders must be on-site by no later than 8:30 am and pre-ride vet checks will commence at 9:00 am. The INE will be a total of 15 miles on a combination of woods trails and dirt and gravel logging roads. There are a couple of bridges that must be ridden across and there are some sections that are rocky, so hoof protection is recommended, but there are also some muddy sections so hoof boots may not stay on. The 30 minute mid way hold will be out on the trail. Water and hay will be available at the hold for the horses and if riders wish to provide anything else for their horse at the mid way hold transportation of supplies will be provided by the ride team. Riders are to provide their own lunch and the ride team will transport it to the mid way hold if the riders want us to do so. All riders are expected to understand the rules of how an Introductory Endurance Ride is judged and are expected to follow the Rules as laid out in the ACTRA Rule book as found on the ACTRA website. The Vet's decision is final in all scoring and whether or not a mount is fit to continue the ride. There is no time limit for riders and mounts to complete the ride. Riders must submit an entry form, fees and the appropriate waiver as found on the Forms section of the ACTRA website or attached below before their entry is considered complete.

If you wish to arrive on Friday evening and camp overnight at the ride site you are welcome to arrive anytime after 4pm on Friday, but please contact Kim Crowell to make arrangements prior to arriving.

Please send in your entry by no later than 5 pm on September 10th so the Ride Manager can plan accordingly.

If the ride is cancelled due to the woods ban still being in place or for any other reason by the Ride Manager, all participants will receive a refund of 100% of all fees paid. The decision on whether or not to cancel the ride will be made on Monday, September 8th and announced on the Atlantic Canada Trail Riding Association Facebook pages and will show as cancelled on this website.

Please contact Kim Crowell if you have any questions.

A light breakfast will be available starting at 8 am of coffee, tea, juice, muffins. Supper will be BBQ (hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and sweets). Riders are to provide their own lunch but if they wish to have the ride team transport it to the mid way hold they may do so.
