Kenmar Farm Ride 2026

All riders must be on-site by no later than 10 am and judging will commence at 11 am. The ride will be a total of 15 miles on a combination of woods trails and gravel logging roads consisting of two slightly different loops. Morning loop is just under 8 miles and the afternoon loop is almost 7 miles. There are a couple of bridges that must be ridden across and there are some sections that are rocky and some muddy spots, so hoof protection is recommended, but there are also some muddy sections so hoof boots may not stay on. The mid way hold will be at the ride camp which is the grassy field in front of the gravel parking lot below the barn at the Lavendar Farm. Please follow the signs of where to park your trailers as it is slightly different than the ride in 2024. Water will be available at the ride camp for the horses and if riders wish to provide hay or any other feed it is their responsibility to provide.

A bagged lunch and water will be available at the hold for riders. If anyone has any dietary restrictions they should provide their own meals. All riders are expected to understand the rules of how a Judged Ride is judged and are expected to follow the Rules as laid out in the ACTRA Rule book as found on the ACTRA website. The Judge's decision is final in all scoring and whether or not a mount is fit to continue the ride. There is no time limit for riders and mounts to complete.

If you wish to arrive on Friday evening and camp overnight at the ride site you are welcome to arrive anytime after 5pm on Friday, but please contact Kim Crowell to make arrangements prior to arriving. If you are going to run a generator, please ensure you do not run it past 10 pm. All dogs must be on leash at all times.

Please send in your entry by no later than 5 pm on Thursday, July 9th so the Ride Manager can plan accordingly.
If the ride is cancelled for any other reason by the Ride Manager, all participants will receive a refund of 100% of all fees paid. We will ride rain or shine.
Riders must submit an entry form and fees before their entry is considered complete. Riders do not need to be a member of ACTRA but they must be able to show proof of membership in one of the recognized provincial sport organizations (Equine NS, NBEA or Island Horse Council).
